PERFORMANCE" DOLL "
The Doll - video performance from Lisa Who
The dolls are absurd characters, a beauty made of bodies exasperated unreal and ethereal perfection. Exactly what the media company is asking us to become: icons of beauty, timeless girls always neat and well dressed. The run-up to a body without defects has long been a mass phenomenon. The image sets of perfection is tyrannical; try removing everything that makes people unique. The desire to get closer to the ideal of beauty bears no joy but only anxiety and feelings of inadequacy. E 'need to ask what corresponds to today's femininity, intricate set of physical, mental and behavioral judged by Western culture as the ideal associated with the woman, and that the distinguished man. Over the last fifty years women have preferred to enter the male world of culture, rather than choosing to reconnect to a female genealogy strong but lacking in social power. Not being able to draw on alternative behavioral models, women today tend to imitate the models of femininity offered by the media: that of the androgynous woman, almost asexual, and not leaked any kind of feeling, or career woman, lost among the commitments of a tense day at maximum output until you get to that of women as sex objects with exaggerated accentuation of female characters. The woman now is a doll that he reclaims his own body and the garment, the cure, the agony, the exhibits in an attempt to find its identity.
She is a doll.
The doll is a body.
And 'the female body as an "outside".
The doll's body is separate from thought.
On the sidewalks, the subway stations, street vendors selling handbags and sunglasses, sell dolls. Possession of their virtual perspective remains motionless, watching people parading in front of me. The situation is bizarre, look at me as if I were an object and this allows me to observe all without question or explanation. Look
also without shame.
are a doll, are one body. There is no thought here, do not be afraid.
have a body, are an object.
In these moments of depersonalization can finally discover the world outside.
